UkrGasBank's development momentum has outperformed the average performance of Ukrainian banking system
By the results of 2007 Ukrainian banking system showed significant achievements, which were mostly related to dramatic changes on the market of individual consumers’ interests. Last year became practically the turning point, when a considerable part of Ukrainian population actively began to use bank credits for financing their own needs, which led to a substantial growth of demand for credits and other bank products.

UkrGasBank's network development as an indicator of Ukrainian banking sector growth
Recent events on the financial market of the country confirm the fact of high interest of world leading financial institutions in the banks of Ukraine. Ukrainian banking system trend analysis shows that the potential for further growth remains quite significant. One of the major indices of development is the expansion of bank regional outlet networks. As of 1.01.08 the total number of outlets of 169 banking institutions operating in Ukraine was 22 924. The absolute growth in 2007 was 2 473 outlets – or 12,02%.

In accordance with decision taken by the extraordinary General Meeting of the shareholders of OJSB "UkrGasBank" (Minutes No.1 dated 01.02.2008) and conditions under Issue prospectus of OJSB "UkrGasBank", registered by the Securities and Stock Market State Commission, the Supervisory Board of OJSB "UkrGasBank" in the Meeting as of 21.03.2008 (Minutes No. 2), took decision that within the second stage of an open (public) placement of shares of OJSB "UkrGasBank" (from 27.03.2008 to 31.03.2008 inclusively) the shares will be placed at the price UAH 5,50 (five hrn. 50 kop.) per a share.

American mortgage market crisis seriously affected stock markets of the USA and Western Europe countries. At the moment one can maintain that this event was caused by the Federal Reserve System, which in 2001 considerably reduced the price of borrowing in dollars. Low credit rates started the «real estate» boom, which led to the significant growth in profits of financial institutions, especially banks, involved in mortgage lending.

The Extraordinary General Meeting of OJSB "UkrGasBank" shareholders approved the increase of the authorized capital of the Bank by UAH100 m.
On February 1, 2008 the Extraordinary General Meeting of OJSB "UkrGasBank" shareholders approved the increase of the authorized capital of the Bank by UAH100 m. to the total of UAH600 m. The authorized capital increase is planned to be carried out via an open (public) placement of 100 000 000 shares (with UAH1 of par value per share).
