UGB strengthens partnerships with European financial institutions to support Ukraine’s long-term resilience
UGB team participated at the EIB Group Forum 2025 in Luxembourg. A key theme was EU enlargement and the new momentum behind it.
This year’s Forum focused on Europe’s investment priorities, presenting best practices and effective strategies to address investment needs.
A highlight of the forum was the panel discussion, “Partnering for Ukraine’s Reconstruction.” Recognizing the immense financing needs in critical sectors, the panel emphasized the necessity of targeted and well-coordinated investments to rebuild infrastructure and restore resilience as Ukraine progresses on its path to EU accession.
The importance of continued support for Ukraine was further underscored by an interview given by the First Deputy CEO of Volodymyr Ponomarov, to Spanish State TV (TVE) where he articulated Ukrgasbank's role in channeling vital EU and EIB support to Ukraine. This sparked further conversations about the tangible impact of these investments.
During the forum, the UGB team held productive meetings with senior officials from the EIB and EIF, discussing the extension of collaboration in supporting municipal district heating projects and SMEs, which are vital for the restoration of Ukraine.
With Ukraine progressing towards EU accession, UGB is dedicated to deepening partnerships with European financial institutions to foster long-term resilience, stability, and sustainable economic growth. We are here to support Ukraine's progress and to channel financial resources strategically, maximizing their impact on the ground.
