UGB Secures Strong Financial Foundation for Ukraine’s Recovery at EIB Forum
The UGB team attended the 2026 European Investment Bank (EIB) Group Forum in Luxembourg. As one of Europe’s most prestigious venues for strategic investment dialogue, the event convened high-ranking officials and global financial leaders. This year’s forum, held under the theme ‘A Strong Europe in a Changing World,’ served as a collaborative hub for stakeholders across politics, business, and finance to align on Europe’s investment priorities. For UGB, this event marked another vital step in strengthening our ties with European financial institutions.
The forum reaffirmed the European Union's status as a powerful economic and innovative force. With a €19 trillion economy, the EC continues to act as a harbor of stability, security, and democratic values amidst a shifting global landscape. Key discussions at the forum highlighted an urgent need to deepen the integration of capital markets, scale up investments in critical infrastructure and frontier technologies, and expand global alliances to enhance energy security and strategic autonomy. The EIB Group is enhancing its role in mobilizing capital to support innovation and security projects, creating a foundation for economic resilience and sustainable development. These efforts are instrumental in ensuring Ukraine’s successful integration into the common European Market.
One of the forum’s sessions was the “Rebuilding Ukraine” panel discussion, where participants focused on:
- Systemic Recovery and European Integration: harmonizing emergency aid with long-term developmenеt
- Visionary Urban Planning: Developing comprehensive reconstruction plans for the social and economic infrastructure of Ukrainian municipalities
- Economic Resilience as a Security Factor: The development of the private sector and modern technologies to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities and mobilize strategic investment.
On the sidelines of the Forum, UGB team held a series of bilateral meetings with the leadership of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Investment Fund (EIF). We focused on actionable roadmaps to amplify financial support for Ukraine’s economy and ensure the continuity of critical state processes.
